Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)


Program Focus:

Reduce the incidence of SIDS by increasing public and professional awareness of risk factors. This program also offers grief support to those who have had a SIDS death. 

 

Program Activities:

The SIDS Program provides an outreach campaign to increase public awareness of how to reduce the risk of SIDS among all groups. Parents, child-care center staff, health professionals, emergency responders, and coroners receive training in dealing with grief. Education regarding the latest research and potential causes of SIDS is also provided.
