High-Risk Infant (HRI) Program
Support at-risk infants and their families by providing home based services to help reduce preventable illness and unnecessary hospitalizations, prevent or minimize developmental disabilities or delays and promote optimal health.
Working in conjunction with the Medically Vulnerable Infant Program (MVIP) and the HRI Program in San Diego County, the High Risk Infant Program in Imperial County provides evaluation of growth and development of infants and young children who are risk for neurological problems or developmental delays because of premature birth, low birth-weight or other problems at birth. Services offered through the HRI program include parent support and education, health and developmental monitoring, and case management.
