Medical Reserve Corps

The Imperial County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing medical support during a health emergency or disaster. The activities of the MRC are a crucial element to the community during a surge event or pandemic scenario.

The Imperial County Emergency Medical Services Agency is organizing the Imperial County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) with the assistance of local hospitals and clinics.

MRC volunteers include medical and public health professionals such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, and epidemiologists. Other community members, such as interpreters and office workers can fill other vital support positions.

A background check and license verification will be performed by the Imperial County Emergency Medical Services Agency in cooperation with the California Medical Volunteers System. Background checks and license verification will be done prior to being trained, assigned and deployed.
