Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention program works to eliminate childhood lead poisoning by educating the public about lead poisoning, identifying and caring for lead burdened children, and preventing environmental exposures to lead.
Case management services by Public Health Nurses include home visits, counseling assistance in identifying lead hazards in the home, referrals to the Women Infants and Children Program (WIC), Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP) and other appropriate resources.
