New River Dashboard

Welcome to ICPHDs New River Dashboard

The New River Sampling Program was established in 2020 by the Imperial County Public Health (ICPHD) Department Environmental Health Division to monitor water quality and have data easily accessible to the public. ICPHD regularly monitors bacteriological levels of the New River at two sampling points: Anza Road, situated at the International Boundary in Calexico, CA, and Vail Road, near the river’s end by the Salton Sea, north of Westmorland, CA. The bacteriological compliance threshold interim standard for fecal coliform cited in International Boundary and Water Commission Minute No. 264 should not exceed 30,000 MPN/100ml. A dashed line on the Anza Road fecal Coliform chart serves as a guide to easily visualize the reference standard level.
