Dog Bite Information and Prevention

How to Report a Dog Bite

  1. If you live in an unincorporated area of Imperial County, report all dog bites to Imperial County Animal Care and Control (442) 265-2655
  2. An officer will take the report, contact the other party (if known), ensure the biting animal is quarantined, and notify Public Health.
  3. If the victim is taken to the hospital, the bite should be reported as soon as possible after treatment.
